The Lowest price of Huawei Mate 10 in Pakistan was Rs. 149,999.
The buzzwords are as follows; Machine Learning algorithms, AI-powered camera, Bezel-less display, USB-C. How many does Huawei manages to cover with its phablet of the season, Huawei Mate 10? Read on to find out!
Huawei knows well that competition is only getting tougher,
so what they have done is dish out the most well balanced device they could
manage, and add into it the buzzwords to get the crowd’s attention. Honestly,
they have done quite the job and have caused a turmoil among the big boys, but
is that all really you care about? I hope not, lets tear it all apart and see
where Huawei Mate 10 stands and whether it’s worth the money or not.
Instead of the usual, Huawei has decided to make some
changes with their methodology and have given the Mate 10 an all-glass design. The
only thing metal is the frame and the curved corning gorilla glass just blends
right in. Mind you, the Mate 10 is only splash resistant and IP58 certified so
don’t go dipping it in the pool. On the body, you’ll find the hybrid sim slot,
one USB-C port, a headphone jack, and the fingerprint sensor on the front. Turn
the phone around and you will be welcomed by the trendy dual camera which will
have its criticism and appraisal in its own section.
The display on this magnificent device is 5.99 inches and
packs a QHD display (1440p) with a pixel density of 499ppi. To make the display
super bright, they have implemented some technique on the matrix that allows
the blue to be replaced by the white. Samsung has Infinity display, Xiaomi has
Full Screen, and LG has FullVision. To oblige to the trend, Huawei has hopped
on to the trend with its buzzword being “FullView”. Regardless of the
technicality behind it, competition breeds good products and the Mate 10’s
display is quite marvelous to say the least.
It has always been Huawei’s thing to leave no stone unturned, to cut no costs when it comes to performance. This is one of the main reasons behind their rise unto the spiral of success and why they have soared heights earlier dominated by Apple and Samsung. The heart of Huawei Mate 10 happens to beat a Kirin 970 chipset, improved to be more energy efficient. Packing a 64GB internal storage and 4 gigs of ram, the Mate 10 will not disappoint you with the infamous lags of the android and deliver raw untamed power. If words don’t seem to comfort you, then find your peace with Antutu’s score of 211K for this beast!
Cameras are always hard to do. Usually, what motivates
people to not buy Xiaomi and other Chinese brands is because their main focus
if not the only focus is performance. But people want more, as they should and that’s
why they sacrifice on the performance and get a phone with a better camera.
However, Huawei understands its consumers and has placed a dual camera not just
for the aesthetics but because it actually does impressive photography.
12MP+20MP lens with an aperture of 1.6 allowing the Mate 10 to absorb more
light than usual. What’s more is the amazing features it comes with; phase
detection, laser assisted auto focus, OIS, 4K video capture, dual tone LED
flash and more. The selfie camera comes with an 8MP lens and an aperture of 2.0
which doesn’t really do justice to your selfies but meh, who cares when
everything else is on point?
The battery on this bad boy is 4000mAh, and you know what? That’s
not even the best part. It fast charges from 0-58% in 30 minutes! So even if
that gigantic battery doesn’t last your enthusiastic self a day, you can just
plug it in for 30 minutes and be done with it!
There is no water
proofing, but there is a headphone jack so there is that. The market availability
is really not all that good either, and people are opting for the Mate 10 Pro
because of its accessibility. Besides that, it has no radio, there is an
infrared port though so yeah. That’s about it folks.
If I were you with a pocket full of money, I’d definitely
consider this magnificent beast as an option. It has checked all the right
boxes; USB-C, Dual Cameras, Full screen display, and superb battery size and
amazing performance. It’s a go from me!
