The Lowest price of HTC U12 Plus in Pakistan was Rs. 97,000.
The HTC U12+ is the company’s premium offering for 2018 that comes with a brilliant design, power-packed performance, and an exceptional camera. The HTC U12+ sports one of the best flagship cameras and its performance is on par with the premium offerings from other companies which makes it a great choice for a flagship smartphone.
The HTC U12+ features a very impressive and unique design. Instead of going with the curved display and bezel-less design, HTC focuses on a minimalistic design with thin bezels and a polished liquid surface look and feel. The front and back are made up of glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection while the frame is made up of high-quality aluminum. On the front, there is a dual-camera for selfies along with the earpiece and proximity sensor on the top. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup and fingerprint scanner with the HTC logo right towards the center of the smartphone. Overall, the build quality of the HTC U12+ is admirable and the design is actually quite pleasing.
As for the display, the HTC U12+ comes with a Super LCD6 QHD 6.0-inch display that is HDR10 and DCI-P3 compliant. The colors are excellent and the sharpness is very high with an impressive pixel density of around 537. The contrast is excellent as well but the blacks on the Super LCD6 display are not as clear as an AMOLED display. Other than that, everything on the HTC U12+’s display is just about perfect and you can use the smartphone for watching 4K videos and playing high-graphic games without missing out on any details.
The HTC U12+ is one of the best performers of 2018 featuring the all-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with an octa-core processor and the Adreno 630 GPU. The smartphone comes with 2 Kryo Gold cores and 2 Kryo Silver cores with 6 GB of RAM to satisfy the cravings of every power user out there. The benchmark scores of the U12+ are right up there with the best – the HTC U12+ scores 4300, 44390, and 275000 in Basemark OS II 2.0, Basemark X, and AnTuTu 7. Overall, the HTC U12+ performs adequately and justifies its flagship label in this department.
There is a duo of dual cameras on the HTC U12+ since it is one of the first smartphones to feature both a dual rear camera and a dual front camera. The dual rear camera consists of a 12 MP wide angle camera and a 16 MP telephoto camera, each of which works in conjunction with the other to produce spectacular photographs, even in low lighting conditions. You can take photos with great detail, high sharpness, and exceptional contrast with the HTC U12+. There is artificial bokeh on board too, which improves the ability of the camera to focus on certain objects. The selfie camera on the HTC U12+ performs quite well too but overall, the images are not as well detailed as the rear camera and often come out to be too soft. There is HDR on board for the selfie cameras though and the dual camera setup helps you take some spectacular selfies to post and share with your friends.
A major con of the HTC U12+ is its battery. With a QHD resolution display of 6.0-inches, a battery size of 3500 mAh simply is not sufficient enough. The battery has an endurance rating of just 64 hours and it should be able to last through most part of the day for you with light to moderate use. Fortunately, there is fast charging with Quick Charge 3.0 on board which can take your smartphone from 0% to 50% in just 35 minutes. But you should carry a battery bank with you just in case the battery runs out!
HTC has all ends covered in terms of connectivity with the U12+. There is Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB 3.1 Type-C connectivity, and a compass. Unfortunately, as the trend is with flagships nowadays, there is no 3.5mm audio jack on the U12+.
