The Lowest price of LG V30 in Pakistan was Rs. 99,999.
The worst thing to happen to someone or something is not getting the amount of attention they or it deserve. Such is the case of LG's forever demented V series. In the second half of 2017, LG dished out an amazing device that nailed almost everything right and yet, very few recognize its presence. The rubble that was supposed to cause a ripple in the water went unnoticed and hence, LG V30 became the most underrated flagship to have existed in the year of 2017. Allow me to tear it all apart for you and help you realize why you should consider this an option when buying a flagship device in the 70K range!
It is sad that sometimes, quantity renders quality rather a
thing of luxury. Today, we live in one such world where there is a sea of
smartphones, but very few are worth your money. And that’s not the saddest
part, the fact that sometimes great devices go unnoticed and fail to create
waves in the sea of smartphones is saddening. Let’s review one such device, the
LG’s LG V30, which does everything to the best of its capabilities and yet
manages to go under the rug.
LG V30 upped their game by using a POLED 6.0 inches display
that gives competition to even Samsung’s excellent displays. The vibrant colors
and extraordinary viewing angles speak levels for the gorgeousness that V30’s
display radiates. It’s a QHD display with a pixel density of around 537ppi!
Just amazing.
Design wise, LG V30 has done it slightly different compared
to their usual. First off, there is no secondary display, but instead of that,
there is an always on display and a small bar within the display that you can
make go away since it’s a software feature. There is glass on the front, there
is glass on the back, and a metal frame that surrounds it all. The fingerprint
sensor is located at the back and in the center unlike the horrible placing of
Note 8’s fingerprint sensor. Anyhow, to summarize, the headphone jack is on the
top, and there is a dual camera to be found at the back as well. That’s about
it on the most generic design ever found on smartphones. And oh, the
fingerprint sensor also acts as the power button!
LG has done as much as they could to make V30 a flagship device; Snapdragon 835, 4GB of ram, 63/128 gigs of internal storage, and Adreno 540. What does it all mean for you? Well it means, uninterrupted experience on something as terrible as Android. V30 ships with Nougat but can be upgraded to Oreo, and Antutu has given it a score of 160K, which surprisingly is not good enough at this price range. With the Adreno 540, your extensive gaming will be without lag, and your storage requirements will be easily satisfied with the gigantic storage that is offered here on the V30.
What sets LG apart from other brands is their excellent work
on their cameras and their audio systems. So obviously, this device is no
exception to their magnificent work on the cameras. The dual cameras found at
the back are powered with the main lens at 16MP and an aperture of 1.6, and the
wide angle lens has 13MP and 1.9 aperture. This means it will absorb surreal
amount of light and deliver excellent pictures. The videography will also be
out of the world and has some flashy features like cinevideo and stuff you
would rather discover with the device in your hands. The front camera is
slightly disappointing, and offers only 5MP of below average pictures, so if
you are a selfie person, this phone isn’t for you.
The battery on LG V30 is 3300 mAh and is decent enough for
both the casual users and the enthusiasts. It will last you easily for a day or
two if you rarely make use of the smartphone, but hardly for a day if your life
revolves around it. The good news? It has USB-C and will charge way faster than
the other devices out there.
Additional features include Bluetooth, A-GPS, FM Radio,
GLONASS, GALILEO, and Quad DAC which means the audio quality will be
supernatural and make your average headphones feel not so mediocre anymore.
Unless you are brand conscious and want only Samsung or
Apple, LG V30 is just as much worth your money as what the competitors have to
offer, if not more. LG V30 is many things, and does most things right, but not
worth the money it is not. It’s worth your consideration!
