Display and Design:

The Lenovo A5 consists of an aluminum frame with a plastic back. On the front, there is a 5.45-inch display with the selfie camera, proximity sensor, and the earpiece on top. The power button and volume buttons are on the side and the primary camera and fingerprint sensor are on the back of the smartphone. The fingerprint scanner is placed towards the center for easy reachability. The build quality of the Lenovo A5 is firm and the smartphone feels great in the hands. 

As for the display, Lenovo has made use of a IPS LCD display on the Lenovo A5 with a HD+ resolution. The display is not very sharp but the vivid color reproduction and great contrast on the screen make it worthwhile. Unless you are a hardcore gamer or movie lover, you should not have too many issues with the Lenovo A5’s display.

Performance:

The Lenovo A5 is packed with the MediaTek MT6739 which is the budget level chipset from 2017. The smartphone comes with a quad-core 1.5 GHz processor, a PowerVR GE8100 GPU, and 3 GB of RAM. For an entry-level smartphone, the Lenovo A5 performs quite well and is able to handle basic tasks, gaming, and multitasking without much worry. The smartphone has a score of 35000 in the AnTuTu 7 benchmark.

Camera:

The camera on the Lenovo A5 is pretty much standard with a 13 MP + 8 MP camera setup. The rear camera has autofocus on board with it and the image quality is acceptable under good lighting conditions but it is simply mediocre in low lighting conditions. The 8 MP front camera can be used to click some decent selfies though with good color reproduction and adequate sharpness. 

Battery and Connectivity:

The battery life of the Lenovo A5 is its standout feature. With an enormous 4000 mAh battery that has a very high endurance rating, the Lenovo A5 can easily give you up to 2 days on a single full charge. The downside though is that the battery can take up to 3 hours to charge to full from zero percent since there is no fast charging on board. As for connectivity, there is Bluetooth 4.2, FM Radio, and microUSB 2.0 on the Lenovo A5.
