Introduced in 1989, Glucerna is the name of the brand under which products manufactured by Abbot laboratories are categorized. The brand comprises tube feeding formulas, bottled and canned shakes along with nutritional bars.

Glucerna is manufactured or formulated in the type of a milkshake, specifically for people who are suffering from diabetes or are glucose intolerant. Designed specifically for people with type 2 diabetes, it is widely used as well as available in Pakistan.
