The Lowest price of LG G6 in Pakistan was Rs. 18,500.
The LG G6 is a nice phone if you remove the premium price tag it has with it. That being said, the phone is certainly overpriced, and it sure is no spec beast either, one good thing about it is its bezel-less screen. So, you can expect to see different flagship company phones surpass this big time.
LG has certainly made an upgrade from the previous G5, G4, and the G3. The smooth and sophisticated look the phone has makes it one of the best designs brought out by LG in a while. The previous smartphones in the G-line up were honestly quite terrible looking in design, this smartphone though is sure to change things up for the future of the phones manufactured by LG.
Now, the phone is covered in a mix of both Glass and Metal and it comes with Gorilla glass, for that added extra protection. To top all of that off it is framed with a rim of aluminum.
The phone in question is almost entirely bezel-less. With an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, you can enjoy your phone to the full potential without the threat of water and dust both.
The Dual Camera is at the back of the phone, right above the fingerprint sensor which is also the power button of the phone. The fingerprint sensor is in the perfect position for almost any user to use, not too above and not too low. The phone has the Audio jack on the top and the USB-C charging port on the bottom. LG is looking to challenge the norm of putting the Audio jack at the bottom as almost all the phones come with it on the bottom.
With an Aspect Ratio of 18:9 and a screen size of 5.7 Inches, the phone is surely going places with the display and screen. Also, the Display uses LCD instead of OLED which is used in almost all High-end devices. Which is totally not fine by me, bearing in mind the price tag.
The processor though is an old Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, which according to LG is something which it’s engineers have worked the longest with and are sure that it will work the best with the device. When asking for around 600$ for a phone, then they should’ve at the least updated it with the latest processor which is the 835, to make sure that the users were getting their moneys' worth.
It comes with 4GB of RAM which is a little less since, the basic amount of RAM is 6GB for every smartphone, you get around 32GB of internal storage which is upgradable to 2TB according to different sources.
The LG G6 camera is an upgrade from last years G5. The camera though isn’t that spectacular. The very same normal and wide-angle camera lenses are at the back of the phone and are both 13 MP now.
However, both the aperture and the pixel size haven’t improved. But for those people who are all about having wide angle present in their phones, you should know that the front-facing camera 5 MP camera also has a wide-angle option present.
Another good thing, which is related to the camera is an app which LG added called “Square Camera” which is mainly aimed at users who use Instagram. You can take Square shaped photos with the various tools present in the app, to make the make the picture Insta-worthy.
The phone runs alright, an improvement in the field of a battery is always welcome, as you can never have too much battery. A 500mAh increase from the G5’s 2800mAh battery makes the G6’s battery a lot better than before.
Also, LG has removed the option to remove your battery, which has allowed them to increase it to a total of 3300mAH. You can also use fast charging as there is a USB-C port available on the phone. This is definitely going to save you a lot of time than before.
If you are into the bezel-less display and don’t want to buy a 1000$ phone, this is the best one which you’ll get. Even though I myself wouldn’t spend 600$ for it, but if you truly are willing to compromise a little on the rest, then this phone is for you.
