Brief Overview

The GeForce RTX 2070 Super is a card focused on the higher-end of the market. It’s part of the Turing series of Nvidia’s GPUs. This specific card is aimed at a crowd that loves to game at higher resolutions and refresh rates. It’s the perfect card if you want to combine high-end visuals with high-end performance. The RTX 2070 Super is made for that, that’s for sure.

This card is a part of the RTX 2000 series, built on the Turing architecture. The process size used here is 12nm. Thanks to the excellent numbers on paper, the RTX 2070 Super is still a great performer. 

Quick Specs

So, the GeForce RTX 2070 Super uses a different graphics processor than its predecessor. This time around, it’s using the TU104 Turing graphics processors. It has 2560 Cuda Cores, 160TMUs, and 64 ROPs. As you can probably expect, these specs are a bit higher than the RTX 2070. However, it uses the same 8 gigs of GDDR6 memory on a 256-bit wide memory bus. 

For power, it uses 1x 6-pin and 1x 8-pin connector. The total max power draw is rated at 215W, and a power supply of 550W is recommended. Finally, the base clock is 1605MHz, while the boost clocks can go up to 1770MHz. The memory clock is 1750MHz, and effective memory is 14Gbps. 

Performance

So talking about performance should be easy here. Take everything great about its predecessor, and turn it up to 11. That’s what we’re seeing here with the RTX 2070 Super. It gives much better performance at 1440p, and this is welcome for competitive games especially. It also has better DLSS and Ray Tracing support, for those of you who care. 

Performance in 1080p is also quite solid, however, 1440p is where we see the major leaps and bounds in performance. On average, the 2070 Super is anywhere from 10 - 15 percent faster than the previous graphics card. Considering it comes in at the same price, this is a welcome improvement. 

Performance gets even better with DLSS and Ray Tracing. The original 2070 was decent, but this RTX 2070 Super is even better. It’s going to be more futureproof down the line as well. This card finally allows you to enjoy high refresh-rate gaming with pleasing visuals. Since it comes in at around the same price, depending on where you get it, it’s a no brainer. 

Final Thoughts

So, the RTX 2070 Super is the card we all know and love. The differences are marginal, sure, but if you can find it for the right price, it’s arguably the better buy. Especially if you care about ray tracing and DLSS and want to see what they are all about. Considering the RTX 2070 Super price in Pakistan, we can recommend it.
